I believe healing

happens in relationship.

Let's chat!

Hi, I’m Jen.

I am a trauma-responsive counselor who views the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful, lasting change. My style is collaborative, gentle yet direct, and integrative, grounded in open communication, deep connection, and a compassionate, non-pathologizing lens. I recognize how life experiences, particularly stress, adversity, and interpersonal harm, shape our thoughts, emotions, bodies, sense of self, and relationships. I tailor treatment to each individual’s unique experiences and needs, fostering awareness, curiosity, and resilience.

I view clients as the experts of their own lives and strive to create a safe space for exploration and growth. With a decade of experience in Special Education, where individualization is key, my person-centered approach to counseling is both well-practiced and deeply rooted.

I am passionate about supporting individuals navigating barriers to living authentic, fulfilling lives. I commonly work with anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, executive dysfunction, relationship challenges, LGBTQIA2S+ concerns, and trauma. Together, we can explore patterns, process experiences, and develop practical tools that strengthen self-trust, agency, and empowerment.

I am especially drawn to working with people who feel caught between who they are and who the world expects them to be, and who want space to better understand themselves beyond the roles, expectations, and patterns they’ve learned to navigate.

My work integrates person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-responsive care with feminist and liberation-oriented perspectives that recognize the impact of relational and systemic influences on well-being. I draw from relational, narrative, ACT, EFT, and mindfulness-based approaches, alongside resource development to support stabilization and growth.

Finding a therapist who aligns with your needs is often the most important part of the process. Life can be challenging, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Whether you’re seeking longer-term support or navigating a shorter season of growth, it would be my honor to walk alongside you as we develop an individualized approach to help you navigate life’s natural ebbs and flows.

In practice, this may include:

- Offering unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness while prioritizing your autonomy and self-direction

- Identifying and reinforcing your strengths, resilience, and lived wisdom

- Using values-based reflection and ACT-informed strategies to help align your actions with what matters most to you

- Providing trauma-informed psychoeducation, grounding strategies, and paced processing of difficult experiences

- Exploring and validating the impact of systemic factors while supporting empowerment, agency, and advocacy

- Integrating mind-body practices such as mindfulness, journaling, or movement to support regulation
